17-6-5

The treadmill has been fixed so I gave it a go after a hiatus of about 2 months or so. The safety pin got dislodged in between and I stopped in the middle because there were some weird squeaks that eventually disappeared on their own. It was a boring run, and as has been happening for some time now, I ran out of energy quickly. I think I'm going to have to start gyming to get the energy back.

In zone: 8.52mins
Av HR: 163
Peak HR: 192
Min HR: 82
Total Calories: The disagreement between the HR monitor and the treadmill continues 707 said the former, 300-odd said the latter. I tend to think the HRM is more accurate because it asks for my current weight before calculating, but I could be wrong.
Splits:
1-4:47 (warmup) HR = 117
2-19:32 161
3- 26:49 172

Just adding to the record....

What does one do to look for inspiration to run? Boredom catching on, the moment I hit the platea. The plateau is the point of extension, satisfaction, rhythm, endurance...not boredom.
Need inspiration.

Distance: 4 km

Oooohh yeah baby! 10 k!!
ahahahah...ummm been too long. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Ali is going to be so jealous. It's not just that he doesn't have my Nike Air Max 2004s. He doesn't have the legs for it. Tsk tsk. *grin, this should be fun*

With no prior training, after not having run for ages (except a 4k run after a month of inactivity 1 week ago), I just get up and do a tenner. Oh yeah!
ahahahah...

Mein kuch cha gaya hun....zaida nahee...bus thora thora.....AHAAAHAHHAH!!!

Hey Ali. What's up? *grin*

There is something about running for so long. Knowing that after an hour - when the basketball match has ended, when the second six-a-side footy match is over, when all the spectators have left, when the PDC has closed, and the only sound in the area is the sound of your footsteps, your even breathing and the music society people drumming up in the music room - you are the only one still up and running. It's a beautiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiful feeling.

Got knee aches at the beginning of the 8th km. Sucks. Running on sand is out cuz its too difficult and Lahore sucks as it has no beach. There is no grass stretch long enough to be a decent track around here. That leaves the road.
Sigh.

The last 3 kilometres were punctuated by growls and grunts. I got some very stunned looks from a couple of females. Mein kya karun. It was dark. I thought I was alone and therefore eligible to growl and grunt all I like.

I was laughing like a doped out Woody Wood Pecker by the end of the run.
Nice endorphin rush. But just nice. Not amazing. I think I am ready for 20 k.

I can't imagine what running for 2 hours will do to my knees though. Better do it on a weekend. I sure as hell won't be able to walk to class the next day.
