Hmmm nike. Well, depends on pronation and suppination factors.

Some people have feet that when they come down on the ground while running, they roll outwards. That's called suppination. This generally happens with heavy people.

Others have feet that roll inwards when they hit the ground. This is called pronation.

Some of course are neutral runners who neither pronate nor suppinate.

You are 5 4 and 50 kg. I am assuming you are fairly thin so I am going with mild pronation/neutral feet in your case. You can check and make sure. Just run a bit and see which way if any, your feet roll.

Running shoes come with suppination and pronation factors but the people at the stores will have no idea what they are; at least they didn't last time. I told them to educate themselves but I doubt that had any effect. Ah well. So where were we. Ah yes...

If you are serious about running, I suggest you do this:

1) Go to the forum and check out RUNNING shoes (not tennis shoes or basket ball shoes or shox; to differentiate between them, search on google) by Adidas, Reebok and Nike. Write down price and model numbers of the ones you like. Try them on and run around the store at least twice before you buy them. Wear socks and go there in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly from the days walking. Only check them out. Do not buy.

2) Look up the shoes you like online. Check pronation and suppination. And reviews. Reviews are very important, but in the end, go with what feels right.

3) Now go back and buy the shoe.

A note on Nike shoes btw: I have found Nike Karachi to have only two good shoes; the Nike Pegasus which is 5500 and the Nike Air Max which is 7500. Everything else pretty much sucks.

Adidas and Reebok not only have better shoes, they are cheaper. I really liked the Reebok Vector for women last time I was in the Forum.

Check em out.

Cheers. Hope this helped.
